A variety of Qatar University (QU) organized events will take place at Darb Al Saai from December 12 to December 20. The University returns for the second year with a unique tent featuring various cultural and educational activities. QU participates in this annual national celebration in the framework of strengthening its leadership role in society and its keenness to be a fixture in leading community, cultural and intellectual festivals, events and conferences.

This year’s tent will include different zones that will provide various interactive activities, such as a dedicated kids zone, an art zone with Arabic calligraphy, painting and coloring for children, a section led by Morooq, QU’s farm, that will shed the light on agriculture, physical health tests in the health zone, a virtual reality room by the engineering zone, a media studio, an astronomy pavilion and so much more.

Ahmad Alyafei, Manager of Events and Protocol at Qatar University, said, “The university’s participation in this year’s Darb Al Saai’s celebrations emphasize on QU’s goal to engage with the local community and to be a part of the cultural and intellectual events such as the National Day.”

QU’s wing at Darb Al Saai has witnessed the participation of a large number of student volunteers, excited to join and help with this year’s festivities. These volunteers reflect the culture of volunteering at QU, who strongly support those who are eager to refine their talents and serve their country.

QU’s wing in Darb Al Saai provides an opportunity to promote communication with the local community and to showcase the faculty, staff and students that make up QU as scholars, intellectuals, writers and creators with their own distinct qualities.
