Taking Qatar forward
The university is an active and vital partner for Qatar’s future prosperity. Qatar University conducts high quality research and uses cutting-edge technology for providing services to various local community and commercial partners. Fulfilling the needs of the local community is a priority for us. Our goal is to place Qatar on the global arena as a nation that is making positive and valuable contributions to the world.
Research priorities of Qatar University reflect the nation’s primary issues. Hence sustained growth at QU in research and innovation is integral to promoting Qatar’s vision to become a knowledge-based economy as outlined in the Qatar National Vision 2030 and various other research and developmental strategic plans. Our graduate studies program goes hand in hand with our research disciplines and innovation.
Research programs at QU attract highly competitive research grants from the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) as well as research funds from major local and international companies. The funds, together with internal research funding and major infrastructure and resources investments attract academic and research talent from around the world. It therefore comes as no surprise that the QU has earned the reputation of the fastest growing research institution in the Middle East.
We want to take Qatar forward so that we can continue to feel proud about our contributions and achievements.
